Here I am presenting my third post with inspirations for up coming season. This post is dedicate to colors. Lets meet most colorful collections for this Spring.
MICHAEL KORS
Michael Kors explain his inspiration came from Africa this season. The show notes called it "Afriluxe". This is territory Kors has explored before. I have never liked Kors collection before. But this collection is full with somehow life. I like extremely much the synthesizing animal prints. They are perfectly mixed with hand- dyeing techniques and djellabas. What make impression are gladiators sandals. Those are not typical for Africa but match Kors collection really well. This might be an African colored and orientated collection but this collection has many of Kors signatures- cashmeres, his familiar one-shoulder dress, sporty swimsuits, only time sweaters are with ajours (holes).
SALVATORE FERRAGAMO
Well now we are talking about colors. I have one thing to say- WOW! Great job Massimiliano Giornetti!
First impression one-shoulder long dresses, color-blocked from fuchsia, red and turquoise, halter neck, handkerchief- hem dresses in a patchwork of different colored leopard prints. His motifs had a tribal-meets-tropical look. In addition to those leopard prints, there are palm leafs and giraffe patterns. I love this collection. Fill my eyes with joyful and somehow power. Great outfits for long summer nights. Contrast make bucked bags in pink and red but didn't jibe with Ferragamo's classy vibe at all. Giornetti struck a balance between classic and cool adding cone-heeled lizard-skin sandals. One is sure Ferragamo brand reputation is moving up every season.
D&G
Unfortunately I have to present the very last of its kind collection for label D&G. As announced in last autumn Dolce and Gabbana plan to integrate the collection into their main signature line.
Well, great finishing for one of most popular and copied brand in world. Foundation of this collection was simple: scarf prints borrowed from Messrs. Styles are full with so many details that is hard to divide all of them into different geometric subjects. What duo did with all those polka dots, crests, medallions, butterflies and flowers was pure D&G spirit. Designers made from knotted scarves into a tiny strapless cocktail dresses or whipping them up in sequined shorts and matching tees. Like every D&G collection prints continue to be the big story.
Now that D&G is finito, we only can remember all the great collection of this brand. Never letters, numbers and all kind of different geometric forms weren't greater and enjoyable to wear. Big bow for huge designer duo and their brand D&G. It is sure they left huge sign in fashion history.
