Shine like a star (Inspiration IV)

Moving closer to end of my inspiration collections of big designers. In this post I choose collection screaming luxe and provoke.

FRANCESCO SCOGNAMIGLIO

One contemporary genius. One of most eccentric designers in our time. One of his huge fan is Lady Gaga herself.
But this collection is far for eccentric I have to say. The word that fashion critics is Controlled. One of best collections for me this season. Inspired from the trousseau of woman from the 1920's. Wisely selected colors- ivory, peach, mint blue and strong presence of black. As I mention earlier I like black to much. All styles are either made of peekaboo lace or featured sheer insets, or both of it. In this collection is shown one of biggest accent this season- transparency. It is obvious partially bared breasts is searched effect, after all we are talking about Scognamiglio.

ROBERTO CAVALLI

One of most typical designers. Cavalli cannot escape from his style- animal prints. Doesn't matter season, animal prints always present in his collections. In general I am not fan of his work at all but this season eh touched me with few things- black blazers on top of long dresses, really beautiful long lace dresses and over-knee dresses with animal print and golden accents. My opinion this collection is one of best for Cavalli brand this far. Couldn't mention it- transparency again all over. Besides soft colors, golden embroideries and black color, lace is Must-have this season in every fashion maniac.

GUCCI

Brilliant collection for Frida Giannini. Mixing ArtDeco motifs together with architectural shapes (especially the New York skyscrapers, her inspiration) and jazz age fashion. I will not mention black any more (I think is quite obvious by now this color is must-must-have). Here we see perfect mix with black, white and bronze color. I have always liked monochrome shade, its simplicity hide great power. Big impression for me are embroideries that give her dresses and jackets an anti-retro appeal (even thought the her inspirations). Big credit is tailoring part-fairly androgynous lines. Jackets pattern cuts are short and boxy combine perfectly with topped high-waisted pants. For those of you who remember last Spring collection of Gucci, immediately will ring a bell something familiar, same tailoring for jackets and trousers, glamour is what is difference this year.

MOSCHINO

Spring's tribal trend has so far focused on Africa somehow but Rosella Jardini's compass points in the direction of South-West America by the way of Spain. Actually this is not first time for the brand to fallow this direction. Franco Moschino (creator of brand) designed a matador collection called Bull Chic. Somehow this style is suitable for Moschino. All embroidery jackets, tiny belts and slim-fit trousers, so typical. In this collection special place find other of season's key colors- sunshine yellow. This color is not only bringing brightness in Moschino's sohw but will also in your wardrobe. I really enjoy this collection. By the way matador look is really trendy this spring. For it I will tell you more in some other post.

DOLCE&GABBANA

Molto, molto, molto Italiano and molto, molto, molto bravissimo.
This collection confused me really much. In the beginning when I saw it, I was like- OMG, what is this...Almost quit watching it. Glad I didn't because later on was totally worth it. Whole collection looks like colourful street festival in some small city in South Italy. First part of show (which I wasn't impress at all, that's way you cannot see pictures of it) are dresses with oversize prints of all kind vegetables. What is interesting and impressing is second part. Looks like after dark all vegetables are left in the kitchen and what shows on are beautiful lace cocktails dresses and corsets encrusted to the hilt in colourful crystals. Really beautiful ending of day and post...and working week.

I have one more post to make with inspiring collections but will do it on Sunday. I am off to Istanbul this weekend, where is one of biggest textile and fashion fair in Europe. Promise will explain everything about it nest week. Now I have to run is I want to make to there :)
